Library wall refurbishment and joinery project in Bristol

We built a library wall with alcove lighting for this ground floor Clifton apartment, but the clients had a few more ideas…

A tired and badly-designed entrance hallway was completely rebuilt with flush doors to house coats and the electric meter, and some floating alcove shelves in oak for a few books.

We also installed an independent floating shelf strong enough to hold large books or plants.

A small spare bedroom/yoga room was maximised by building a fold-down bed. The mirror frame doubles up as a handle when it’s time to pull down the bed.

And finally a bedroom wall was remodelled to create a built-in bedhead. The column to the left of the bed was copied, with the addition of some oak alcove shelves and reading lights, to create a neat home for a double bed.
