We’re very proud to have helped Smaller Footprints start up their shop in Clifton.
They are part of a new movement of packaging-free shops. You bring your own containers of any type, weigh them, fill up and pay… rinse and repeat forever! The world needs far more of these shops. In fact if you’re thinking about it there is a guide to setting one up here.
The inspired industrial-chic shelving design, in steamed beech and galvanised steel tubing, was by the founder Grant, and built from a large stack of steel tubes and wood by Jonathan.
Planks of kiln-dried steamed beech were ‘biscuit jointed’ to form wide shelves, and a router and bespoke jig were used to create accurate holes, curved ends and edge profiles. Finished using hardwax oil.
The shop is proving extremely popular but please show your support if you’re in Clifton Village! It’s in Regent Street opposite Pizza Express.
